The Tonic Studios Tim Holtz Retractable Craft Pick is the perfect product for handling difficult papercraft and scrapbooking objects.
Use it to pierce through paper, card, chipdoard and other materials.
Useful for making fine and precise holes in your craft project. Ideal for when you want to insert brads, or create an area to stitch your own pattern, or for popping a hole in the centre of your flower-forming hand made flowers (so that you can feed stamens through the middle).
Great for picking out paper pieces from your metal cutting dies. And likewise fantastic for pushing out the little bits of paper pieces that remain in your die cut shape after being cut.
Pokey tools and craft picks are very handy for using with peel off stickers too. It's great for lifting up small pieces of the sticker design from the sheet, and even transfers the pieces over to your craft project nicely. It helps to precisely place your sticker before sticking it down.
Another other useful reason to have a craft pick or pokey tool, is to lift off the backing of your double sided sticky tape. After you've put your tape onto the back of your item, use the pointy end to lift the backing and reveal the sticky adhesive.
You can even use it with flatback adhesive gems. Simply use the pointy end and lift up the gem from the acetate sheet. The gem will adhere to your craft pick and you can transfer it over to your craft project and precisely position it where it needs to go!
