When using embossing powder, it is always advisable to have a piece of paper on your work surface. This paper will catch all the excess embossing powder so that you can gather it back up and put it back in to your pot for next time!

Simply place the piece of paper underneath the craft item you are embossing. Sprinkle the powder on your stamped design, making sure you have applied enough to cover all over your stamped image/sentiment. Tilt your stamped image so that any excess powder falls onto your paper work surface. You can then easily gather up the left over powder on this piece of paper, and tip it back in to your pot!
